Fabien Coche is a fourth-generation winemaker who succeeded his father Alain in 2005. From the vintage '20, the domain's name changed from Coche-Bizouard to Fabien Coche. The Coche family is very well known in Burgundy: Raphaël Coche-Dury is a cousin and the two domains were one until they were split in 1949.

This wine, in its second vintage as a stand-alone cuvée, is on the level of many Premier Cru wines. It is full, generous and powerful with plenty of ripe stone fruit, all supported by persistent acidity. The Clos du Pré de Manche is a walled south-facing vineyard in the mouth of the valley as far as Auxey-Duresses. Two thirds of the vines were planted in 1945 and the remaining third was replanted in 2017.
