Fabien Coche is a fourth-generation winemaker who succeeded his father Alain in 2005. From the vintage '20, the domain's name changed from Coche-Bizouard to Fabien Coche. The Coche family is very well known in Burgundy: Raphaël Coche-Dury is a cousin and the two domains were one until they were split in 1949.

This 1er cru vineyard is quite high on the hillside and fully south-facing. Produced with 30% fermentation of whole bunches in 2020, this wine shows rich and deep aromas, given some lift and finesse by the use of whole bunches in fermentation. It has a nice floral lift and also excellent freshness with excellent depth and intensity. A serious 1er cru with only 20% new oak and bottled in December 2021 to maintain freshness and finesse. Fabien strives to capture the fresher side of Pinot and these reds are smooth and effortless and not at all processed.
