Productinformation
With the Bourgogne Bons Bâtons 2020, Domaine Michele & Patrice Rion has proven its commitment to making excellent Burgundy wines. The domaine's main goal is to produce a wine that accurately reflects the region, allowing the characteristic soils to be expressed. They achieve this by prioritising the production of balanced wines, ignoring the idea that achieving the maximum necessarily means obtaining the optimum, especially in extracting colour, tannins and phenols.
The 0.6-hectare vineyard is located between the towns of Gilly-les-Citeaux and Chambolle-Musigny on limestone-rich clay soils. The brown soil is quite deep and interspersed with patches of gravel brought down from the hills by a prehistoric river, giving the wine a remarkable individuality. The age of the vines is 40 years with an average of 3,500 bottles per year.
