A relatively unknown estate about which little has been written. Domaine La Truffière par Robert Comte is currently run by Robert Comte with the assistance of Laeticia Falci. For him, it is all about the terroir and the winemaker must do everything possible to make the grape perform at its best. Once in the cellars, the wines are classically raised and some are kept for longer periods.
Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru is fully walled and has a large château that serves as the headquarters of the local winemaker fraternity. It is one of the Côte de Nuits' iconic vineyards. Clos de Vougeot (sometimes called "Clos Vougeot") is the largest - and one of the most famous - Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte de Nuits sub-region in northern Burgundy. Like most of the Côte de Nuits, Clos de Vougeot is planted entirely with Pinot Noir.
