Productinformation
Les Bressandes is a vineyard in the Corton Grand Cru appellation, located in the Côte de Beaune district of Burgundy. About 20 different domaines produce Corton Bressandes Pinot Noir wines. It is the largest named subsection (lieu-dit) of Corton and is considered one of the best.
In this middle part of the slope, there is brown limestone with a higher clay content—ideal for Pinot Noir. Les Bressandes is a rocky vineyard with a thin topsoil, situated on the site of a former quarry.
The harvest is done by hand, and whole clusters are used whenever possible. The wine matures for 16 months in oak barrels, 40% of which are new.
The result is a wine with an expressive nose and power on the palate. Supple tannins and fresh fruit provide finesse and balance. The spicy finish adds extra complexity.
