With the Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru, Lavaux St Jacques 2012, Pierre Naigeon has proven its commitment to making excellent Burgundy wines. They have built a reputation for traditional winemaking methods and sustainability practices, staying true to the terroir.
Lavaux Saint Jacques is located on the north side of the village, just before the valley. The name of this location comes from "La Val", used as early as the Middle Ages to denote a low point in the landscape, such as a valley. These vineyards, including "Les Cazetiers" and "Clos Saint-Jacques", are among the top three Premier Crus in Gevrey-Chambertin.
