Les Chaumes is a large (6.5ha) Premier Cru vineyard on the south side of Vosne-Romanée. Les Chaumes lies directly below the 1er cru Malconsorts on the Côte d'Or slope. This location makes the limestone-based soil deeper and richer. The gentle eastern orientation of the slope provides additional exposure to sunlight. This makes Les Chaumes one of the warmer climates in the region, grapes are therefore often harvested here first.
The wines have a distinct reputation with a velvety character and tremendous balance.
