Productinformation
This Chablis comes from the lieu-dit Les Corvées, a vineyard parcel directly bordering the Premier Cru Beauregard on the left bank of the Serein, in the southern part of Chablis. The vineyard is planted on Chablis' characteristic Kimmeridgian limestone and marl soils. Bordering the south-facing Premier Cru Beauregard, Les Corvées benefits from a similar geological setting, while its location lower in the valley provides a relatively cool climate. This allows the grapes ample time to reach perfect ripeness.
After harvest, the grapes are traditionally vinified, after which the wine is aged entirely in used oak barrels. By using only previously used barrels, the wine gains additional depth and complexity without the oak dominating the wine. The result is a refined Chablis in which the oak ageing enhances the expression of the terroir while preserving the wine's characteristic freshness and minerality.
