Productinformation

Cuvée Perpétuelle is the signature Champagne of Bonnet-Ponson and beautifully reflects the diversity of terroirs found in the Petite Montagne de Reims. The blend consists of 40% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 30% Meunier, with the 2023 harvest forming the base, complemented by 40% wine from the réserve perpétuelle. This continuously replenished reserve, bringing together several vintages, adds complexity, depth and consistency to the house style. The grapes come from parcels in Vrigny, Chamery and Coulommes, where vines averaging 30 years of age grow on a mosaic of clay, loam, sand and limestone-rich soils.

In the cellar, the emphasis is on natural winemaking, preserving the character of the grapes and their origins. Bonnet-Ponson works with indigenous yeasts and a combination of stainless steel tanks and oak barrels. The wines are aged on their lees and undergo neither fining nor filtration. The use of the réserve perpétuelle creates a distinctive balance between the vibrancy of the young harvest and the maturity and complexity of older wines. The Champagne is bottled without dosage, allowing the pure expression of the terroir to shine through.

The result is a refined and expressive Champagne offering aromas of ripe apple, white peach, citrus and subtle hints of brioche and toasted nuts. On the palate, a creamy texture is balanced by fresh acidity, elegant minerality and a delicate saline touch. The finish is long, harmonious and remarkably elegant. A versatile, gastronomic Champagne in which maturity, freshness and precision come together beautifully.
