With the Moulin à Vent, La Roche 2016, Domaine Thibault-Liger Belair has proven its commitment to making excellent Burgundy wines. Owned by the Liger-Belair family since 1720, this domain has a rich history of 250 years. In 2001, Thibault joined the company and took over the vineyards, transforming the domain into the renowned Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair. Before that, Thibault studied vinification and oenology in the Beaujolais at the Moulin a Ven. He also worked for a communications company in Paris. In 2001, Thibault decided to follow his true vocation and start making his own wine.
2.25 hectares of vineyards planted between 1920 and 1945. These plots are located at the top of the Moulin à Vent hill, about 50 metres from the mill itself, where there are outcrops of pink granite. This terroir is unique because it benefits from a cool north wind which, combined with the granite soil, gives the wine a lovely freshness. 100% Gamay.
