Productinformation
This wine comes from the small parcel Aux Échanges in Chambolle-Musigny, covering just 0.34 hectares and planted with 100% Pinot Noir. The vines were planted in 1934 and sit at an altitude of around 270 metres, with an east-facing exposure. Numerous fissures in the hard limestone allow the roots to penetrate deep into the ancient Jurassic subsoil, while gravel layers ensure excellent drainage, contributing to precision and elegance.
The vineyard is managed according to integrated pest management practices combined with non-certified biodynamic principles. Following careful green harvesting, the grapes are hand-picked. Vinification begins with a cold pre-fermentation maceration, using either destemmed grapes or whole clusters, depending on the character of the vintage. The total vatting period lasts approximately fifteen days.
The wine is then matured for 12 to 14 months in oak barrels, with 30% new oak, adding structure and complexity while preserving finesse. In the glass, it displays a beautiful balance of intensity and refinement, with elegant aromas of small red fruits such as strawberry and raspberry, complemented by subtle spicy notes. The palate is rich and layered, supported by silky tannins.
