Productinformation
This wine comes from the parcels Les Pertuisées and Aux Poirelots in Morey-Saint-Denis, covering a total of 0.42 hectares and planted exclusively with 100% Pinot Noir. The vines were planted in 1971 and 1980 and grow on Jurassic soils composed of gravel and limestone, resting on a deep clay base. This soil structure provides both structure and juicy fruit expression.
The vineyard is managed according to integrated pest management practices combined with non-certified biodynamic cultivation. After careful green harvesting, the grapes are hand-picked. Winemaking begins with a cold pre-fermentation maceration, using either destemmed grapes or whole clusters, depending on the character of the vintage. The total vatting period lasts approximately fifteen days.
The wine is then matured for 12 to 14 months in oak barrels, allowing the elements to harmonise. In the glass, it displays a beautiful red-purple colour and an aromatic profile dominated by red fruit notes such as strawberry and raspberry. The palate is fine and refined, finishing with a generous, juicy and inviting finish.
