Productinformation

This distinctive cuvée comes from En Grebillet in Morey-Saint-Denis, sourced from a 0.32-hectare parcel planted in 1975. The vineyard is planted with a rare blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Gamay, an uncommon combination in Burgundy that gives this appellation its truly singular identity. The vines are rooted in clay-limestone soils dating from the Middle Jurassic, providing both depth and balance.

The vineyard is managed according to integrated pest management practices and non-certified biodynamic cultivation. Following careful green harvesting, the grapes are hand-picked. Winemaking begins with a cold pre-fermentation maceration, using either destemmed grapes or whole clusters, depending on the character of the vintage. The vatting period lasts around fifteen days.

The wine is then aged for 12 to 14 months in oak barrels, allowing the two grape varieties to integrate harmoniously. Gamay brings generous black fruit aromas and an impressively youthful, vibrant style, while Pinot Noir contributes balance, structure and refined fruit expression. Together, they create a wine of harmony, energy and unmistakable personality.
