Productinformation
Pernand-Vergelesses stands (sometimes literally) in the shadow of the famous Corton hill. This unknown gem has impeccable vineyards and produces a wealth of refined wines.
Etienne Delarche is the 3rd generation to produce authentic earthy and expressive Pernand here.
North of the premier cru ‘Caradeux’, deeper in the Pernand valley lies the vineyard ‘Les Belles Filles’. The vines are at altitude with north/north-east orientation, this makes it a cool site. The soil consists of a combination of lime, limestone and sand. The vines are young, averaging 10 years, and the wine is raised in old French barrels.
Predominantly citrus aromas, think orange and lemon peel, mineral character with hints of pepper. On the palate exciting, fresh and lively, red apples, lemon and white pears.
