Savigny-lès-Beaune is an appellation that has existed since 1937, located between the hills of Corton and Beaune. The total area is +/- 350 hectares, of which 300ha (125ha premier cru) produces red wine and 50ha (12ha premier cru) produces white wine.
In total, there are 22 Premier Cru climates (climats), which together produce 5,100 HL of wine: 4,700 HL of red wine and 440 HL of white wine.
The Bellang wine is vinified in oak barrels and then ages for another 10 months in barrels, 20% of which are new oak. The wine is fruity and round, with a nice acidity that is kept in balance by the subtle use of oak.
