Productinformation
This cuvée was the estate's first white wine! This wine is a blend of 100% Chardonnay from parcels in Saône-et-Loire within the Lugny appellation in Mâconnais.
The "Les Charmes" terroir is located in the eastern part of the appellation, south-facing, on very white limestone. The limestone in this soil ensures that the sunny character of this site remains balanced, compensating for the natural richness of these wines with a certain freshness.
The average age of the vines is over 40 years, with the distinctive feature that they partly consist of Chardonnay vines called "musqués," which give the wine its very own character.
Aging takes place in stainless steel tanks for 14 months. This white Burgundy is fresh, full, harmonious, and delicate. It is very pleasant even in its youth and reveals notes of exotic fruit and citrus, complemented by a velvety texture. The finish is powerful and characterized by spicy tones.
