Blend of two parcels in the lieu-dit Côte Bodin. One planted 1955, one planted 1996. Extremely steep slopes with vines on echalas. 30% whole bunch, vilification in stainless steel. 24 months in 2-3 years old Saury Barriques 228l.
“Côte Bodin is the domaines top cuvee. The mica schist soils, rich in iron oxides, give this wine the typical ‘côte Brune’ style. It’s full bodied, rich and structured, with extremely fine tannin. The complexity is highlighted on the nose by a ripe black fruit profile, spices and a distinct note of graphite. The wine is powerful and elegant at the same time, with a long finish and aromatic persistence. Côte Bodin is a wine that is perfectly suitable for ageing.”
