Productinformation
This refined Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu comes from a parcel planted in 1972 on the south-facing slopes (16%) of Mont de Milieu, at an altitude of 215–230 meters. Rooted in Kimmeridgian clay-limestone marl, the wine derives its pronounced minerality from this distinctive terroir. After pneumatic pressing and natural alcoholic and malolactic fermentations, it is aged for ten months on fine lees, partly in stainless steel and partly in oak barrels, ensuring both freshness and structure.
On the nose, it reveals intense freshness with fruity accents. With some aeration, layered aromatic complexity unfolds, supported by a powerful mineral backbone. On the palate, these impressions deepen and intensify, offering elegant tension and finesse — a true benchmark of what a great Mont de Milieu can deliver.
