Productinformation
This very small plot of 0.15 hectares forms part of the ‘Les Languettes’ vineyard in Aloxe-Corton. This vineyard is situated on the highest, very steep section (25%) of the Montagne de Corton, facing south/south-east.
The soil is marly and rich in clay. Limestone alternates with marl, beneath a thin layer of rendzina.
The grapes are harvested by hand, after which they are pressed for 8 hours. Vinification can take up to 8 months, after which the wine matures for 18 months in 50% new oak.
The result is a wine with a delicate and seductive character, featuring floral, fruity (yellow plum and exotic fruit) and occasionally spicy notes. The palate is well-balanced and concentrated, with a very long finish.
Thanks to its acidity, this wine really comes into its own after a few years in the cellar.
