Le Gréal is the flagship and highlight of the estate, a unique wine that has built a loyal following for its decadent, regal style.
The 2023 Hermitage Le Greal is on the road to success. With roughly 10% grapes from the Les Greffieux and 90% from the Le Meal lieux-dits, the name Greal being an attempt to turn both words into one, the 2023 was also co-fermented with 8% white varietals (mainly Marsanne).
Beautiful full deep red colour with a little reduction, sweet and stylish red berry fruit emerging beneath the reduction. Fundamental depth, lovely tannins and chiselled minerality. The finish is deep and long, with clear whole bunch character. The wine has mega aging potential.
