Productinformation

This wine originates from the renowned climat Le Cailleret in Puligny-Montrachet, planted with 100% Chardonnayfrom vines around 55 years old. The parcel is ideally positioned mid-slope, in the northern extension of the prestigious Montrachet, directly below Chevalier-Montrachet. The terroir benefits from an oceanic climate with semi-continental influences and features chalky marls and marly limestone soils. The soil layer is relatively shallow before reaching the clay-limestone bedrock, typical of this part of the Côte, and is scattered with small pebbles that enhance drainage and mineral expression.

The vineyard is managed according to integrated pest management practices and non-certified biodynamic cultivation. After careful green harvesting, the grapes are hand-picked. Winemaking begins with whole-cluster pressing, followed by a cold pre-fermentation maceration. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in oak barrels and lasts around twenty days.

The wine is then aged for 12 to 14 months in barrel, with 30% new oak, providing structure and depth while preserving purity. On tasting, the wine is open and powerful, revealing aromas of white-fleshed fruits. The palate shows a clean, precise attack, delivering a pure and elegant mineral sensation. Perfectly balanced between silky texture and refreshing freshness, it finishes with remarkable persistence, reflecting the pedigree of this exceptional terroir.
